Aaron Carlton’s roots run deep in Middle Tennessee, where he is a proud seventh-generation resident. His great-grandfather settled in Rutherford County in the early 1800s, and his family has called the area home ever since. After high school, Aaron enlisted in the Army and proudly served in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Following his military service, he used the GI Bill to attend Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU), where he graduated with honors.

Aaron’s career has been as diverse as it is inspiring. After college, he gained life and work experience in various fields and locations: bartending in Murfreesboro and Tokyo, framing houses in Tennessee, working as a deckhand on a fishing boat in Alaska, and teaching English in Korea, Japan, and China. During his time in China, he also studied Mandarin for a year before joining the U.S. Foreign Service, where he served as a U.S. diplomat at embassies in Uganda, Venezuela, Pakistan, and the United Nations in New York City.

After more than a decade of traveling and working abroad, Aaron grew frustrated with the challenges of government bureaucracy and decided it was time for a career change. He chose to “come home” and expand his roots in Tennessee.

Aaron’s connection to the construction industry runs in his blood. His grandfather built and planted churches across the South, his uncles developed multimillion-dollar residential projects across Tennessee, and his father transitioned a remodeling business into a roofing-only company. Inspired by his family’s legacy and his own love for the tangible results of construction, Aaron recognized a need in the roofing industry and replaced his first roof in 2017.

In July 2023, Aaron married the love of his life, Sarah. Together, they have a baby girl, Vivi Dawn, and four dogs. In his free time, Aaron enjoys spending time with family and friends,
